The Role - Financial Accountant:

What You Will Be Doing - Financial Accountant:
As a Financial Accountant, you'll be a key team member of our Finance Team in Birmingham.
- Preparation of year end audit requirements
- Supporting the Finance team at month end, undertaking key tasks including deferred fee income schedules
- Delivering compliance with statutory and legislative requirements and internal group policies
- Identify and implement standardisation, simplification and automation, creating excellence in operational delivery, across process and through technology
- Ensure appropriate governance and policy enforcement, to implement improved working methods through process and technology opportunities
- Suggest improvements in controls and policies. Ensuring controls are complete and accurate
- Safeguard and record accurately the assets of the company
- Develop effective relationships with stakeholders
- Assist with overall growth plans
About You - Financial Accountant:
We would like you to have/be:
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified desirable but relevant experience more essential
- Background of internal or external audit
- Advanced Excel skills (vlookups, pivots, SUMIF's, macros)
- Excellent analytical and decision-making ability in order to analyse information/problems and make good and timely decisions
- Strong organisational and effective time management skills
- Willingness to contribute as part of a team and help drive process change where appropriate
- Ability to work remotely
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to finance / accounting
- Knowledge and understanding of SOX procedures
- Knowledge of resource planning in a dynamic environment.
