Our Finance department currently has an open position for a Senior Financial Accountant.
This is a hybrid homeworking role (you will ideally be located close to Leeds or Welwyn Garden City however we are flexible).
You will be working with your colleagues across other sites: Welwyn Garden City, Leeds and Preston.

Our Finance department currently has an open position for a Senior Financial Accountant.

Main Objectives
- To assist the UK Finance & Compliance Manager ensuring any tasks associated with monthly Financial accounts has been performed accurately and within set deadlines.
- To assist the UK Finance & Compliance Manager in the day to day running of the Finance department and ensuring accurate and timely month end, quarter end and year end closing has been performed.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for maintaining IFRS16 Lease database and all associated tasks
- Responsible for maintaining the Fixed Asset register and all associated tasks (incl. valuation of company Assets)
- Analysing P&L costs and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with the company's Internal Control System
- Review of company VAT returns
- Produce final Statutory Accounts and assist with audit enquiries- Sika Limited and all UK subsidiaries
- Submitting data to external tax team in order to assist them in finalising Tax computations, calculation of QIP's and quarterly tax calculations
- Responsible for maintaining the Fixed Asset register and all associated tasks (incl. valuation of company Assets)
- Responsible for maintaining IFRS16 Lease database and all associated tasks
- Accruals and prepayments
- All tasks associated with the day to day running of the Finance team and month end/quarter end/ year end closing
WORKING HOURS: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
We Need Your Skills
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who:
- has a strong background in month end closing procedures and Financial Accounting
- has Awareness of UK Taxes Acts
- has knowledge of the tax aspects of UK GAAP and IFRS
- is ACCA or CIMA qualified
- SAP (ERP)
- Strong background in month end closing procedures and Financial Accounting
- has good understanding of MS Excel
- Qualified Accountant with experience in Tax preparation
