Job purpose

Currently we are searching for a GL Accountant to support our German Accounting Team from our hub in Katowice. If you like to work with figures and numbers and you are proactive about your own learning, we are happy to support you to kick off your international career with us!

As an accountant at TMF RDC Europe, you are mainly responsible for the timely and correct handling of a complex customer portfolio. In addition to the day-to-day bookkeeping of the companies, the area of responsibility includes close communication with our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation and review of financial reports;
• Transition from US GAAP /IFRS accounting data to HGB;
• Posting of all business transactions in the general ledger and subledger;
• Responsibility for the timely preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports according to HGB, IFRS or US GAAP;
• Creation of ad hoc reports;
• Communicating with customers, accountants, banks, accountants, lawyers, investment managers or other parties.

Key requirements

• University degree with a focus on accounting / finance or completed training as an accountant;
• At least 5 years of practical work experience, ideally with an international audit/tax consultancy;
• Very good knowledge of HGB, IFRS and/or US-GAAP;
• Solution orientation and service readiness;
• Fluent English and German A2+.
