The Regional Finance Director will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the ATM Networks & FI Solutions Division of Euronet Worldwide for EMEA & Americas. Where the Division includes highly regulated, e-money license holder, VISA/MasterCard principal member, payment service provider entities. The scope will include direct responsibility for core finance, operational finance, treasury, credit & risk, M&A modelling and finance due diligence, business cases modelling and pricing in 30+ European and American countries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Ensure credibility of the finance team by providing timely and accurate financial results reporting, analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
  • Take both strategic and hands-on decisions on developing EFT finance organization to align with the division goals and accelerated growth. Manage SSCs (operation finance and core finance located in Budapest) as well as finance teams located in countries (Poland, Greece, UK, Romania, Croatia, Serbia, Ukraine, Germany).
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the division.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, SOX and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting. Maintain, enhance strong control environment to safeguard company assets. 
  • Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Accounting & Finance. An MBA degree is an asset.
  • ACCA, CIMA, CPA qualifications are assets.
  • 15+ years of experience in progressively responsible financial leadership roles within fast paced and high transactional industries (e.g. retail, telecoms, financial services).
  • Multi-country management of at least 5 countries simultaneously.
  • Fluency in verbal and written English (other additional European languages will be beneficial). 
  • Eligibility to work in the EU on full-time permanent basis without the need of employer sponsorship. Relocation package is supported for non-Hungarian, EU citizens.
  • Readiness for international travel on a monthly base (appr. 2-4 days / month).
