Basic purpose:
The responsibility of the payments group is to provide clients with support for managing OTC and Repo collateral margin and to coordinate the payment processing of collateral, trade related activity, expenses, and all other settlements.
This Treasury Senior Associate’s role will be to assist the Treasury Manager/Director and manage our client’s trades, expenses and all other cash settlement requirements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full understanding of the cash settlement process for foreign exchange and derivative products Proficient knowledge of SWIFT formatting, SSI set ups, currency deadlines and the review and release of client cash settlements through in-house SWIFT applications and external electronic portals.
- Manage daily process of all applicable clients
- Assist the team/associates with any cash trouble-shooting, discrepancy queries and NAV reconciliation cash breaks
- Interact with prime brokers on material cash and settlement issues and processes Interact with client counterparties on material issues
- Interact with clients to evaluate service and offerings Launch new clients and funds in Treasury system applications Contribute procedural requirements for new products and market regulations
- Implement system enhancements and perform business unit acceptance testing for Treasury applications
- Review end of day management reports and resolve outstanding issues Sign off on end of day process and check lists
- Ensure self and team complies with risk, regulation and compliance programs and applicable laws and regulatory requirements
- During the course of normal day to day operation, responsible for identifying any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and must report and/or escalate in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines detailed in relevant operating procedures.
- Performance appraisal review and goal setting Participate in investor’s due diligence meetings and audit reporting
REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience
- Degree in Accounting or Finance or Business related area (minimum 2.2 honors degree)
Skills/Knowledge
- 3+ years of experience
- Proficient understanding of FED, chips and swift wire processing
- Working knowledge of financial products
- Excellent computer skills
- Superior communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
