As a Senior Finance Manager at Baxter, you have the opportunity to work with our internal team as well as collaboratively with the teams we support. The Senior Manager of Capital Markets will serve as an essential part of Baxter’s Treasury function as an inspiring leader with vision on financial markets. This role assists in the management of Baxter’s capital structure, investment strategies, risk tolerance, financial modeling and forecasting in order to support Baxter’s mission of saving and sustaining lives.
What you'll be doing- Construct Weighted Average Cost of Capital (WACC) and other assumptions used in capital allocation projects. Serve as the Treasury expert for this topic while partnering with FP&A
- Analysis, reporting and forecasting of debt and interest levels. Lead dynamic modeling activities for these items
- Analyze equity, debt, FX, and overall economic markets globally and frame activities and risk appetite discussions in light of market/company insights
- Develop capital allocation recommendations with consideration to free cash flow forecasts, liquidity requirements, rating agency parameters, and our risk appetite discussions
- Provide valuation and reporting of financial instruments. Make recommendations on related debt paydown, refinancing and redemption activities
- Support TMS (Kyriba) activities related to capital markets activities
- Tracking and analysis of capital markets fees paid to and allocated among banks
- Manage revolver renewals and compliance
- Manage and develop one or more Treasury professional(s) on the team
- Provide support/mentorship to the FX team as needed
- Support ad hoc treasury projects as needed
- Strong analytical skills, eye for business, judgement and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to effectively influence and drive communication with diverse partners
- Proven ability to lead multiple, competing priorities
- Ability to assemble and work in a team-oriented environment, often cross-functionally
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, tax and legal accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent)
- MBA/CPA/CFA/CTP preferred
