The Opportunity

Within the world of Enterprise Risk (ER), we take a deep dive into understanding our clients' key concerns/risks and identify channels through which we can provide solutions to help remediate these risks.

We assist clients in implementing or enhancing their risk management frameworks (or elements of such) so that they can take risk management into their own hands on a continuous basis. Enterprise Risk has evolved beyond risk and control reviews to include more holistic transformative solutions, for example, examining a client's key Functions (such as Internal Audit, Compliance, Procurement, etc.) and providing insight/guidance into what the future-state of that function should look like, and assisting the client in attaining that future state.

Key responsibilities

As an Enterprise Risk Staff consultant, you will be given to opportunity to develop specialized knowledge, assist with larger and more complex components of our projects, and support with engagement execution and delivery. Some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the provision of risk services through a suite of strategic, outsourcing, and industry-focused operational recommendations that help companies around the world evaluate and enhance the effectiveness and performance of their key functions
  • Assist with planning and executing on various types of projects such as internal audits, enterprise risk assessments, compliance reviews (e.g., SOX, AML/CFT, EQA etc.), forensic investigations, procurement reviews etc., resulting in the identification of control enhancements, operational and compliance process improvements, and efficiency opportunities as well as company-wide cost improvements
  • Establishing relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels
  • Consistently delivering high-quality client services, monitoring progress, managing risks and making sure that key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes while staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business
  • Assist with business development activities, such as the preparation of business proposals and client presentations

Our preferred requirements for this role include:
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience
  • An Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, STEM, or other related fields of study. A Masters degree will be considered an asset
  • Relevant designations e.g., CIA, ACCA, CPA, CISA, CFE, CAMS etc. or demonstrated interest in pursuing and completing the required examinations
  • Demonstrated competence in one or more of the following: Risk Management, External Audit, Internal Audit, SOX, ICFR and ITGC
  • Experience or interest in the fields of ESG, Sustainability or Supply chain would be considered an asset
