Reed Recruitment are supporting a family owned business in Gloucestershire who are recruiting for a Commercial Accountant to join their busy accounts team
This is a permanent, full-time role offering hybrid working 2 days per week.
The main purpose of this role is to support the Financial Controller with all the accounting tasks within the company. You will act as his number two and support the finance team.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing quarterly management accounts with commentary on key variances to budget.
- Preparing annual statutory accounts.
- Preparing budgets/forecasts.
- Analysing accounts and suggesting improvements to reduce costs and increase profits.
- Ensuring compliance reporting required by the bank and compilation of compliance certificates.
- Preparing Vat/CIS returns in line with statutory obligations.
- Preparing development appraisals and budget versus actuals.
