This is a unique opportunity to join a property organisation that offers a varied role within a highly reputable organisation supporting the MD directly with all administrative support, bookkeeping and PA duties based near Worthing.
The core responsibilities of the role are office management, bookkeeping and management of company accounts PA to MD and general administrative duties for the office and new housing sites.
You will already have a bookkeeping background and ideally be AAT or ACA qualified and have great organisation skills and have a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities:
  • Entering financial data into spreadsheets and Xero accountancy software and reconciliation of on-line banking transactions.
  • Keeping financial records organised.
  • Dealing with invoices, receipts, purchase orders and other financial records.
  • Paying wages, paying suppliers, and releasing money for refunds.
  • Reconciling accounts at regular intervals.
  • Providing financial data or reporting to management for audit purposes.
  • Checking for financial irregularities, data entry errors and potential fraud.
  • Handling and responding to incoming phone calls, correspondence, emails, and letters.
  • Taking notes on meetings, preparing minutes, and distributing them.
  • Document and drawing management, revision control and distribution.
  • Taking inventory of office and site supplies and order accordingly.
  • Scheduling appointments, organising diaries, and setting reminders for meetings, appointments, and other important tasks.
  • Planning events.
  • Management of shared cloud files.
  • Assisting senior management team when needed.
To apply for this role, you must have the following skills and experience:
  • Proven accounts background in bookkeeping and knowledge of accounting software Xero and Sage.
  • AAT of ACA qualified.
  • Highly organised, reliable, and efficient with strong attention to detail.
  • Great communication skills with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Great IT skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
