Here at GXO Logistics, we're looking for a Management Accountant to join us at our site in Wakefield, where you'll focus on building long-lasting and effective business relationships and play a key part in the growth and development of the finance function.
This is a permanent, full time role where you'll be predominately working Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, however occasionally we may need some flexibility... this is Logistics after all.

We're looking to offer a salary of up to £34,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you'll do on a typical day:
- First point of contact for advising budget holders on internal financial controls, processes, procedures and ensuring that the budget holders adhere to standards for monitoring and controlling costs & revenue
- Month end reporting to group deadlines and reviewing costs with budget holders and investigating/explaining variances
- Working with contract managers to manage the financial elements of external customer contracts. Calculating indices changes, KPI bonuses/penalties, preparing charging data and ensuring invoices are raised on a timely basis
- Compiling standard and adhoc analytical reports at UK level
- Part or full qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent
- A passion to develop team members through appropriate skills of coaching, mentoring, training and support
- Great communication skills with an ability to influence and challenge stakeholders, both internal and external, whilst being customer-focused and operationally astute
- Great attention to detail with the ability to implement and maintain controls and processes to ensure alignment to company policies and accounting standards
