Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Compliance Manager to join an exciting and well-known business in the Crawley area on a permanentbasis.
You will be joining a fast paced and dynamic business where progression will be on offer.
Your duties will include:
  • Monitor and improve business process compliance in accordance with FCA regulation
  • Supporting the Head of Compliance in the management and oversight of Risk Framework
  • Produce and maintain Compliance governance documentation including policies, processes and procedures
  • Horizon scanning and keeping up to date with changes in the regulatory landscape relevant to the current business model for the firm
  • Line managerial responsibility for the Compliance Officer
  • Support the Conduct Risk Manager in producing governance documents to ensure appropriate levels of performance across the business
  • Produce and analyse appropriate MI to ensure TCF
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Compliance Team and the wider business
  • Prepare compliance reports for internal and external purposes
  • Maintain Compliance-owned systems
  • Maintain an appropriate Learning Management System to ensure suitable levels of competency across all staff
  • Provide data protection support to all areas of the business, including investigation of data breaches and sending necessary communications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Satisfying data subject requests such as DSARS, erasure requests and rectification requests
  • Review marketing material to ensure compliance with FCA requirements
  • Conduct and review financial crime checks, including Treasury Sanctions and PEP checks
  • Review and produce legal/contractual documentation between its partners, suppliers and insurers, including new business and renewal agreements
  • Provide compliance training to staff at all levels within the firm as required
  • Co-operate fully and openly with the regulator
Key requirements:
  • Compliance Manager experience
  • CII or ICA qualified is desirable
  • Educated to degree level or suitably qualified by experience
  • Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience managing and developing staff
  • Excellent communicator, confident to challenge constructively at a senior level
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory and technical information and translate into practical solutions
