Credit Control

Reed is working with a leading manufacturer to help recruit a Credit Controller to join their small but friendly team. The business is based in Wakefield and are looking for someone with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
The business has an estimated annual turnover of around £23million with £21million in total Assets. Due to huge growth they are looking to expand their Finance team, with this in mind it is the perfect time to become part of the team.
What is the day to day of the role• Updating and maintaining accurate financial records on the sales ledger• Reporting to senior management on days outstanding, over credit limit and payment history• Assist with posting and allocating of BACS receipts and cheques onto the system • Investigative work reconciling outstanding debit notes on the sales ledger• Contacting customers via phone and email for outstanding invoices and debit notes • Responsible for various weekly and monthly reports• Credit checks on new and existing customer accounts, ongoing maintenance of credit terms
Required Skills and Qualifications• To communicate effectively both written and verbally to an extremely high standard• Excellent attention to detail• Ability to work on own or part of a team and to strict deadline
