Job Purpose

Treasury Funding's primary responsibility is to ensure effective intraday liquidity management on Citibank's Nostro, RTGS and other Central Bank Accounts across Western Europe.

Job Background

Our Budapest office is a deeply integrated part of the
Treasury and Trade Solutions Operations Group supporting EMEA Markets Treasury, EMEA Corporate Treasury, TTS, FX, Securities and Markets Products

Key Responsibilities
• Support/help Treasury Funding Junior Analysts in managing their BAU activities
• Support HVC manager with internal HVC organizational activities - system changes, data collections, impact analysis, etc.
• Make decisions on complex funding activities where more in-depth knowledge is required
• To provide accurate and timely funding projections and, if needed, initiate liquidity transfers accordingly
• Monitor Nostro Account balances and align reporting to Market Cut-offs
• Manage Liquidity within the pre-defined allocation levels
• Review and analyze complex transactions both intraday and during reconciliation
• Effective communication with departments whose work is related to nostro cash management, including the Markets Treasury, Corporate Treasury, Trading desk, key Product partners from TTS, FXMM, Securities, Markets, etc.
• Reconciliation of Nostro accounts and timely resolution of any reconciliation issues
• Timely and effective escalation of all issues
• Participation in industry testing
• Supporting, coordinating, and leading Projects and Initiatives from HVC perspective, including system enhancements, new system implementations, industry managed changes, etc.
• Take part in designing and reengineering of funding processes, proposing control enhancements and efficiency improvements
• Take on individual initiatives. Lead discussions with stakeholders.
• Represent HVC in various internal and industry forums, personally participate in industry managed meetings (organized by Bank of England or other industry bodies)
• Training new hires
• Complete all tasks - having connection with the organization's activity but not detailed in the JD

Knowledge and Experience
• Intermediary or advanced knowledge of Treasury Funding and Banking Operations
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Treasury or Banking Operations

Skills
• Excellent spoken and written English
• An understanding of the Corporate Treasury business would be highly beneficial
• The candidate is expected to be dynamic, flexible and a quick learner as the business requires candidates to be able to learn and perform multiple functions parallel
• Strong PC skills in Excel, Word and Outlook. Training will be provided on other systems used within this position

• Good communication and organizational skills

Qualifications
• University/College degree in Accounting/Finance

• Ability to work in shifts between 01:00am and 19:00 - Mon - Fri (including during UK Bank holiday)
