An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading distribution firm based in Stockport due to sustained growth and expansion. This company have an excellent reputation for staff training and development.

Description

The Credit Controller role is initially a 6 month contract which could be extended. This role will be office based and working as part of the Finance Team key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure debts are paid in a timely manner.
• Chase overdue debts & collect payment.
• Handle disputed invoices and negotiate to bring in payment.
• Put accounts on stop where appropriate.
• Process Cash on Delivery and Credit Card receipts.
• Proof of delivery, copy invoices, correct invoice and account errors.
• Debtor Account maintenance.
• Maintain records; collection activity, Cash on delivery & Credit Card Debtor lists, names, address and Credit limits up to date.
• Credit rating renewals for End of month debtors.
• Other general administrative tasks as required.

Profile

In order to apply for the role you should:

Have previous experience in sales ledger/credit control/Chasing customers

Be able to commute to Stockport office

Be able to consider a 6 month contract initially
