Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a 14 month Fixed Term Contract for a maternity leave cover based in their spacious offices in Harwell, near Didcot.

Description

The Accounts Assistant, as part of our Finance team, this role requires someone highly organised, but someone who is
calm and pragmatic in their response to changes and this role would be more suited to someone who can operate effectively in a highly varied environment.


Key Responsibilities
* Re-charging between multiple entities
* Raising POs and Invoices
* Dealing with external customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
* Using Microsoft Dynamix to enter data (ensure correct coding and project set-up)
* Processing Rental/Service Charge Invoices and producing Aged Debtor Reports
* Banks and Account reconciliation
* Processing Month end journals
* Balance Sheet Reconciliations
* Processing Weekly Payment Run
* Account Analysis
* Assisting in year-end audits

Profile

The successful Accounts Assistant will have:

  • Proven experience in a transactional finance role with experience of accounts payable
  • Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of processing supplier invoices and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Worked with Microsoft Dynamics not required but very helpful
  • Building and sustaining high-quality relationships with your colleagues and suppliers
  • Strong excel skills and a working knowledge of other Microsoft office applications
  • Good numeracy skills and excellent written skills
  • Confident self-starter, with the ability to operate in a dynamic environment

Job Offer

The salary on offer is between £25,000 and £30,000 dependent upon experience and qualification. The role is covering a maternity leave period of 12 months, with hand over time at the beginning and end of the contract so it will last approximately 14 months in total.
