International Logistics business based in Coalville.

Description

  • Production of accurate management accounts for Group, International and Investment companies supported by strong analysis to aid decision making. This will involve ensuring the monthly performance is reviewed in line with the financial calendars and deadlines and reviews held with Directors and department heads on their numbers. This will include but not limited to the International MD, Department Heads for HR and Marketing and the IT director ultimately leading to production of board reports and financial review packs.
  • Production of accurate weekly flash reports for Group, International and Investment companies supported by key assumptions with these being reviewed accordingly in line with the financial calendar
  • Ensuring Balance sheets are updated monthly and supported to aid audit-ability
  • Consolidating and Issuing the Management accounts to strict deadlines.
  • Progressing with the full integration of Europe companies into the Group accounting processes ensuring the results are accurate and meet the desired timescales for reporting whilst making steps to report on the owned share of profits within the management accounts time-frame
  • Ensuring recharge methodologies are robust and supported by documented assumptions as well as ensuring inter-company transactions are recorded and are eliminated upon consolidation in conjunction with the financial controllers & audit requirements.
  • Provide key business decision support on the Europe and International.
  • Review processes, through a continuous improvement methodology, to ensure routines and process are effective and automated and make the necessary where applicable
  • Ensuring the quarterly forecast and annual budget processes follows and achieves the desired timescales, is constructively challenged, and reviewed with the relevant Business director & FD. This process should be supported by key assumptions and analytic review, whilst ensuring the business is engaged in the process and has ownership of their plans.
  • You will have ultimate responsibility to upload the group detailed budgets and forecasts onto the accounting system and will involve engaging and working closely with your financial colleagues
  • Assisting in the finance function to achieve its goals, ambitions and objectives and become best in class through working on the agreed plan for finance. This will involve, but not limited to, standardising ways of working, automation projects, documenting processes & procedures (SOPS) and reporting through an automated routine on a consistent set of charts of accounts

Profile

  • Must have previous experience within Management Accounts
  • Will be actively studying towards CIMA or ACCA or be able to demonstrate extensive experience
  • Confident in engaging and building relationships with key stakeholders
  • PNL, month-end and reporting background
