Our Finance team is currently looking to appoint an Accountant - Banking to assist with the store finance function of the business.

Key duties of this role include:
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Weekly store cash deposit reconciliation including investigation of cash variances and discrepancies
  • Monthly credit card reconciliation
  • Petty cash reconciliation
  • FOB payment reconciling and prepayment processing
  • Preparation and posting of journals for month end processing
  • Stocktake reporting and analysis of variances
  • Maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring all files are up to date
  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the finance department, including filing, report generation, general ledger reviews
  • Assist Accounts Payable with entering of invoices, account reconciliation and payment runs
  • Assist the team in the preparation of month end and year end accounts, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Assist with yearly audit; and
  • Ad-hoc duties to support the Finance Team where required.


Key attributes of the successful candidate:
  • Finance/Accounting Degree qualified preferred but not essential
  • Minimum 3 years accounting experience
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements function
  • Ability to reconcile Balance sheet accounts
  • Accounting and analytical skills and commercial awareness with a general knowledge of the company's internal control policies and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, problem solving and attention to detail
  • Well organised with good time management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
