Our Finance team is currently looking to appoint an Accountant - Banking to assist with the store finance function of the business.

Our Finance team is currently looking to appoint an Accountant - Banking to assist with the store finance function of the business.
Key duties of this role include:
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Weekly store cash deposit reconciliation including investigation of cash variances and discrepancies
- Monthly credit card reconciliation
- Petty cash reconciliation
- FOB payment reconciling and prepayment processing
- Preparation and posting of journals for month end processing
- Stocktake reporting and analysis of variances
- Maintain accounting documents and records, ensuring all files are up to date
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the finance department, including filing, report generation, general ledger reviews
- Assist Accounts Payable with entering of invoices, account reconciliation and payment runs
- Assist the team in the preparation of month end and year end accounts, reconciliation, and reporting
- Assist with yearly audit; and
- Ad-hoc duties to support the Finance Team where required.
Key attributes of the successful candidate:
- Finance/Accounting Degree qualified preferred but not essential
- Minimum 3 years accounting experience
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements function
- Ability to reconcile Balance sheet accounts
- Accounting and analytical skills and commercial awareness with a general knowledge of the company's internal control policies and procedures
- Excellent communication skills, problem solving and attention to detail
- Well organised with good time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
