SF Recruitment are searching for a Finance Director to join our fantastic client based in Daventry. You will be managing the Finance department and Finance system and supporting the Managing Director and other Directors in their goal to continue to the business leading in its field.
Key responsibilities:
- To effectively manage the accounts department and supervision of the accounts staff on a daily basis
- Ensuring staff are accountable for their own productivity and are working towards set targets
- To carry out accounts staff appraisals on a regular basis
- To produce a daily cashflow forecast, enabling the company to maintain its overdraft within the
prescribed limits and to ensure continuation of supply at all times and compliance with all HMRC requirements
- To communicate immediately to the Board of Directors any financial constraints that may impact on the running of the company
- Reviewing month end reports as prepared by Accounts Supervisor
- Preparation of ad-hoc reports as required by the Board
- Overseeing the rebate calculations and liaising with the Commercial Director to arrange payment and issue credit notes where appropriate
- Implementing any agreed procedures relating to data entry or recording information
- To manage the implementation of the new accounts system
- To oversee the telecommunications and IT systems through external providers.
- To provide monthly management accounts to the Managing Director within 10 working days of the month end, incorporating supporting schedules such as:
Fixed asset register, Prepayments, Accruals, Hire purchase liabilities
- To prepare, after discussion with the Managing Director, audit schedules at the year end
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified, Part Qualified or QBE considered
- Excellent knowledge of accounting systems & MS Office
- High attention to detail
- Team management experience
- Strong background of continuous improvement
