Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen, to start your career in accounts as a Finance Assistant in the busy and growing Totaljobs Group finance function. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner the role will focus on managing labour cost and headcount within agreed budgets.

This is an exciting opportunity which offers you with the opportunity to gain key financial skills and experience of accounting fundamentals.

Key responsibilities:
  • Working with the Finance Business Partner and budget holders to create and update budgets and forecasts
  • Reconciliation of headcount and labour costs
  • Support the vacancy process and job change processes
  • Liaise with Human Resources and Payroll to understand discrepancies
  • Prepare reports for budget holders to manage their budget
  • Participate in month end close, creating accruals and prepayments and analysing variances.
  • Liaise with other members of the finance team to ensure correct reporting and charging of intercompany labour.
  • Sales commission calculation
  • Support the Finance Business Partner in administering the commissions calculation model and sales hierarchies.
  • Your role will also include general finance tasks such as balance sheet reconciliations, ad hoc analysis and providing support to other team members as necessary.

  • Strong academic background and a proactive approach to learning and development
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Flexible approach to work

  • Minimum of 12 months' work experience preferably gained within a finance function
