Responsible for credit control, collection and maintaining customer database to meet operational goals and objectives, as well as safeguard the company's receivable assets. Business partner with multiple stakeholders and wide exposure to end to end credit and collection management.

Our client is a global MNC who is looking for talented individual to join their growing team.
Description
- Lead and coach Malaysia and Singapore Customer Accounting Department (Accounts Receivables Team, Customer Claim Team and Settlement Team)
- Manage credit risk exposure by ensuring Credit Policy is complied and amount outstanding is within approved credit limit
- Oversee the accounts receivables review and collection process to make sure collections are received within the approved credit term and meet the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) target
- Review existing credit positions and recommend changes when necessary, including credit limit increase or decrease, suppression and legal actions
- Monitor long outstanding balances i.e., overdue more than 90 days and negotiate and settle non-payment disputes with clients efficiently if any
- Prepare reports of regular intervals making forecasts on collection flow
- Ensure customer claim on rebate and marketing expenses are being processed and paid accurately as per approval
- Ensure revenue is being processed and settled in the correct period so that the revenue recognition is compliance with the accounting standards and policy
- Oversee the month-end activities performed by team members and review balance sheet reconciliation
- Review existing process, procedures and policy as well as recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and strengthen internal control
- Keep in touch with the industry's best practices and keep updating
Profile
- Degree in Finance and Accounting
- Strong background in FMCG/Pharma/Retail will be added advantage
- Minimum 8 years of experience in credit and collection management
- Good leadership, strong business acumen and problem-solving capabilities
- Able to deal with multiple stakeholders and meticulous
