I am recruiting a Development Management Accountant. You will be liaising with the operations and development team making sure their trial balance is accurate. Fully responsible for preparing management accounts, forecasts and budgets as well as full responsible for producing annual statutory financial statements.

Client Details

A growing housing associations with just under 1,000 homes. They are an enthusiastic and dynamic finance team who have just moved into a brand new office.

Description

The successful Development Management Accountant will be responsible for:

  • Fully responsible for preparing management accounts, forecasts and budgets.
  • Develop a business partnering relationship and provide technical expertise, strategic business support and guidance to managers within other teams.

  • Responsible for ensuring financial controls are in place to safeguard group assets and

  • accurate capital accounting and fixed asset reporting.
  • Responsible for maintaining of the 30-year business plan quarterly.
  • Modelling scheme appraisals for new development schemes on Proval and Sequel
  • Be the point of contact for external/internal auditors and other external stakeholders in relation to fixed assets and developments.

Profile

The successful Development Management Accountant have experience of:

  • Development accounting in a Housing Association (desirable but a keen interest is a must)
  • Ability to distil complex analysis and succinctly present findings
  • Experience of explaining financial information to non-financial staff.
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables
  • CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA and ACA accountancy qualification - (finalist) or Qualified by Experience
