Why this role is important to us

The Transfer Agency Group is the point of contact for the investors of our clients funds serviced by State Street. Within Transfer Agency you will be joining a large and experienced team of professionals which form part of State Street Global Services (SSGS). SSGS gives asset owners and managers access to the essential financial tools they need to deliver effective investment solutions. This is a team providing the critical connection for investors into State Street. This team works closely with our clients to partner in designing and developing solutions for new innovations and opportunities in fund products. You will work with a range of internal teams across the globe to service a wide array of prominent clients across multiple fund types.

What you will be responsible for

Our DSM/Dedicated Client Managers are responsible for leading and managing the key client relationships within Transfer Agency. At this level you will be required to demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the Funds Industry, and take the lead role in client servicing, operational support and oversight with a strong service and process ethos

  • Relationship Building - Manage and develop relationships with clients, distributors, investors and other external parties. You will act as a State Street representative to our clients.
  • Client focus - Consistent and active awareness of the client's needs. Proactively sourcing ways to improve and promote quality. Displays a commitment to excellence. Ability to manage client's expectations.
  • Day to day liaison with the operational teams to ensure all SLA’s are met and excellent service provided.
  • Review and update department Operational processes, to ensure controls remain effective and account for dynamic changes in client requirements, mitigating operational risk wherever possible
  • Deliver effectively for your clients through meeting servicing requirements and working closely with Operations and the Change Management teams
  • You will continually work towards the ultimate goal of ensuring a very high level of client servicing whilst exercising operational oversight within the business and making sound operational decisions and a strong focus on risk reduction
  • Work professionally work with all peers and senior management to promote and secure the on-going growth and development of SS Transfer Agency and its client relationships.
  • Promote the organisation’s capabilities to clients and identify additional business opportunities Obtain detailed understanding of client's business / products and support sales process as required
  • Keep abreast of current client relationship status through the regular review of Management Reports e.g. Customer feedback etc
  • Organise & participate in Service Meetings & conference calls with clients
  • Continually look for opportunities to enhance the client service experience and prevent client issues arising

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree level at any discipline is preferred, but not essential
  • Strong knowledge of the Transfer Agency business is required This should be complemented with a sound understanding of Fund Accounting, Custody and Regulatory background to Funds Industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of systems, including Microsoft Office applications, is required
  • Typically candidate will have 5-10 years experience in a similar environment
