About the role

As a Lead Accountant you will be responsible for high quality delivery for allocated clients. You will operate with full compliance of all legal requirements. Reviewing professional work accurately while meeting deadlines and providing support to team members when needed. Managing his/her team, supporting their development and career path, providing feedback.

Key responsibilities

  • Provides quality assurance and ongoing monitoring of the allocated clients in the team, consistent with Hungarian legislation.
  • By his/her coordination ensures timely preparation and correctness of accounting/payroll records, annual and interim reports in line with client reporting requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinating, scheduling, monitoring the timing of the work of team members and providing them with professional guidance, as well as handling his/her own clients diligently.
  • Understanding the client’s activities, and the changes in these activities.
  • Participates in the onboarding process of new employees in his/her team and plays an active role in proper integration of the new joiner as well as in their trainings.
  • Planning deadlines and tasks, self-initiation and development of process improvements.
  • Collaboration in developing and implementing the Business Knowledge Base.
  • Coordinating audits/inspections, keep and maintain good contact with relevant authorities.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the content of the service agreement.
  • Involvement in client onboarding allocated to his/her team and understanding new contracts’ scope.
  • Carrying out other professional tasks requested by Service Director.
  • Strives for continuous improvement of NPS for both clients and employees.
  • If needed supporting and contributing organizational changes in respective team (reviewing processes, communicating organizational changes to Customers/Employees).
  • Organizing back-up system in case of absence or replacing direct reports in his/her team in case of absence.
  • Supporting new joiners’ onboarding process ensuring the professional development of team members.
  • Performance evaluation of team members.
  • Approving timesheets and holidays in his/her team.
  • Completing tasks according to the internal regulations.
  • Following IT and other policies defined by the Group, execute instructions.
  • Support in selection process, conducting interviews with potential candidates.
  • Intensive cooperation with both the Compliance Manager and Client Relationship Manager. Ensuring seamless collaboration within the team, with affiliates, within the department and local leaders.
  • Representing TMF’s corporate values and acting as a role model in front of the team and within the organization.

About you

You are the ideal candidate, if you have:

  • Certified Accountant or similar level qualification;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, good knowledge of accountancy and taxation rules;
  • Good communication skills and service orientation;
  • Advanced level of English both written and spoken;
  • Fluent Hungarian;
  • Strong technical affinity: Excellent computer skills, experience with accounting softwares;
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment;
  • Ability to communicate and interact well with clients and colleagues;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time;
  • Readiness to meet deadlines.
