Job Responsibilities:
- Overall responsible for accounting and financial function of property development company.
- To be responsible for all development accounting including project cost tracking and reporting, processing of project A/P, and construction draw processing for both new construction and renovation/remodel projects.
- To track project costs, process invoices and prepare journal entries to appropriately reflect all development project costs and activities from inception through start of new company.
- To track assigned project budgets and lead monthly budget meetings to identify and discuss any cost/budget issues.
- Preparation and/or review of monthly account reconciliations in accordance with Finance Account Reconciliation Standards.
- To prepare project cash flow forecasts, updating monthly for changes in estimates and schedules based on information provided by other functional teams.
- To be responsible for accurate and timely submission of monthly/quarterly management accounts and financial reports.
- To prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet plus analysis for management reporting.
- Preparation of tax computation and in charge of yearly tax submission.
- To liaise with external auditors, consultants and tax agents on financial accounting and tax issues.
- To interact with internal and external parties on finance and accounting related issues.
- To assist with ad hoc financial analysis of new and existing development projects.
- To ensure group's accounting policies are appropriately applied to new development projects.
- To ensure compliance with regulatory & statutory requirement and FRS.
- To perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/CPA).
- Minimum 5 years post qualification experience preferably in building construction & property development industry.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting/tax knowledge.
- Good working knowledge with Proficient in major Microsoft Windows, Office and Accounting operating system and software such as IFCA & CSS would be added advantages.
- Able to work independently and communicate well at all levels.
- Well verse in read, write and speak Bahasa Malays, English would be added advantages.
- Confident, proactive and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Position: based in Ipoh.
