Job Description

This is a wide-ranging role supporting the RSA Motability (RSAM) finance team. Which will include completion of the RSAM balance sheet reconciliations as well as assisting in the production of significant elements of the P&L and Balance Sheet reporting process. You will also provide information and data to other members of the RSAM Finance team on a regular and ad-hoc basis to ensure that the financial performance is fully understood.

With a turnover of c.£500m RSAM (RSA Motability) is effectively a medium sized enterprise operating within a global insurance company. This means you will have the benefits of seeing the full end to end financial process and have great access to the actual business.

You will work with large volumes of data and complicated business models to provide the information that is required to ensure that the financial performance is fully understood. You will operate best in class operational effectiveness, process efficiency and consistent high standards of data accuracy against tight deadlines. You will have excellent spreadsheet skills and a passion and desire for learning new skills.

You will have Considerable stakeholder management skills to share insight and information in a clear and concise fashion.

Key Duties

• Completing RSAM balance sheet reconciliations both accurately and in a timely manner

• Supporting the RSAM finance team as well as liaising with the wider RSA finance team and other stakeholders

• Ensuring consistency, reliability and efficiency of information collection, validation and aggregation processes, across multiple internal and/or external sources

• Obtaining and manipulating large volumes of data and ensuring consistency and accuracy to aid the production of the relevant financial reporting requirements

• Assisting in the delivery of high quality outputs in the most effective ways whilst ensuring your personal and professional development

• Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the UK financial statements and related systems to meet Internal and External Reporting requirements.

• Accurately accounting for P&L and balance sheet

• Managing internal finance and business stakeholders to ascertain and meet their requirements

• Ensuring consistency, reliability and efficiency of information collection, validation and aggregation processes, across multiple internal and/or external sources

• Contributing to a wide variety of projects as required

• Participating to raise standards and improve operational effectiveness and consistency through process, technology and/or people capability development

• Gathering, validating and compiling quantitative and qualitative information and data, from multiple internal and/or external sources to ensure accuracy and completeness

• Running and/or contributing to the development of financial models and analytical processes to meet business needs.

The Indvidual

• Enthusiastic part or newly qualified accountant looking for the next step in their career

• With a passion and desire to learn new skills and gain exposure to the full end to end financial process

• Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting procedures and consistently achieve accurate, on time delivery

• Balance sheet reconciliation experience preferable

• SAP experience preferable
