Senior Business Analyst

Location: Cirencester

The primary objective of this role is to provide business analysis within a Wealth management company. Acting as an adviser to the business you will be working at multiple levels using your industry experience to operate within a business change environment. You will be responsible and accountable for the business analysis work within a project.

You will be a highly experienced BA with significant expertise in understanding business needs and managing stakeholder relationships. With these skills you will also help shape the practice and help it evolve over time and in addition, be able to provide mentoring and coaching to less experienced BA's.

What you'll be doing:
  • Producing the appropriate artifacts required by the project.
  • Communicating and reporting effectively within the programme and to the wider BA practice.
  • Demonstrating the correct behaviours and acting as a role model for the BA practice.
  • Where appropriate, provide coaching to support the growth and development of our BA Practice. This could include responsibilities such as guidance, mentoring, sharing ideas and examples of existing practices and encourage their adoption.
  • Where appropriate coordinate the work of other BA's within the programme or project. Delegating and taking ownership of tasks and being accountable for the work produced.
  • Where appropriate, ensuring the quality of the work produced by other BA's meets the necessary standards. Ensuring Programme deliverables are met within agreed timescales.
  • Working effectively with the senior project team and stakeholders, conducting investigations, planning, and be instrumental in the success of the project.
  • Take responsibility for the management of stakeholder relationships across various levels of seniority. Ensure that stakeholder perspectives are identified and analysed with a view to achieving consensus.

Who we're looking for:
  • Strong analytical skills and will be proficient in applying techniques which help when investigating, analysing, modelling, and recording a business area or system.
  • An excellent understanding of different development approaches such as Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Ideally, an accreditation (full or partial) with the BCS International Diploma in Business Analysis.
  • An appropriate level of experience working on a breadth of large-scale systems and business change programmes. These will ideally be in the financial services industry, across multiple business areas.
  • Preferably, but not essentially, experience in a large financial services organisation and have knowledge of financial services products.
  • Preferably you will be familiar with SJP organisational structures, our mission, objectives, and strategies.
  • An open strong communicator and be able to converse with people at all levels within the business, on a range of subjects. This will be written and verbally.
  • Able to quickly understand new topics and be able to form, articulate and support an opinion based on the information available at the time.
