Client:
We are recruiting on behalf of a global healthcare organisation, for a Finance Intern. The successful candidate will be joining the finance team which covers a broad and diverse scope of activities, including planning and forecasting, fixed Assets Control , Management Accounting, Month end close as examples
Responsibilities:
- Headcount review, analysis and reconciliation (including presenting and reviewing results with the Operations team)
- Responsible for analysis of monthly results variances for assigned areas leading to accurate forecasts of budget for quarterly submissions to the US. This includes monthly reviews of results & variances with the Finance & Ops/R&D teams.
- Responsible for supporting the timely completion of month end including preparing and sending relevant month end reports to various parties across the business
- Understands, owns and leads the analysis and forecast of Capital Cashflow with the aim being to present results and obtain commentary for variances from the Project Managers.
- Responsible for coordinating and consolidating the Balance sheet Month end report to the US
- Monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
Candidate Requirements:
- Tracking to a minimum of 2.1 degree through the first two years of finance related degree course.
- Achieved 300 UCAS points in 'A' Levels
- Intention to pursue a career in Finance and complete a professional accountancy qualification after University (e.g CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
- Basic grasp of accounting principles
- Good knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
- Good communication skills
- Driven and motivated
- Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team
