Accounts Assistant

The client are an accountancy practice that manage the accounts and finances of large brands and entities, within the Media, TV and Film industry. They are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the team on a permanent basis to help manage the increased workload. The head office is based in the West End (Chancery Lane).

The client are an accountancy practice, that specialise in clients within the Media, TV and Film industries. The role reports directly into the Head of Finance, and will give the successful Accounts Assistant the chance to grow and progress through the company and as an accountant. They are looking for a junior candidate to join a dynamic and excellent culture, with lots of opportunities to learn and progress as an accountant.

Description

The successful Accounts Assistant will:

• Take the accounts up to Trial Balance
• Bank reconciliations
• End-to-end management of the Sales and Purchase ledgers for their clients
• Assist with the preparation of client management accounts - alongside a manager
• Preparation of the VAT returns
• Prepare Financial Statements
• Become the first point of contact for all supplier and client queries - building a strong relationship with the clients
• Ad hoc reporting
• Assist with the budgeting and Forecasting

Profile

The successful Accounts Assistant:

• MUST have a prior working knowledge of the accounting system Xero
• MUST have between 6-18 months of accounting and finance experience
• MUST have prior knowledge of working with the purchase ledger
• Be studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA or CIMA)
• Be confident and good at building relationships
• BE enthusiastic about the Media, Film and TV sectors
• Have strong Excel skills
• Brilliant written and verbal communication skills

• £25,000 - £28,000 (max)
