We have multiple opportunities now available for an experienced Finance Business Partner to join NSW Government!
- $50-$80 per hour + super
- Location: Sydney CBD & Western Sydney
- 6-12 month contract
Key accountabilities
- Identify and drive financial efficiency with divisional management, ensuring that the division allocates resources effectively with rigorous pressure on costs and a commitment to a value for money approach.
- Investigate opportunities as well as high risk and material financial issues, or problem areas, with the business and develop and propose solutions and options to resolve/progress concerns to a satisfactory outcome Model good leadership to inspire direction and delivery, develop people, and drive change.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of strategies, processes, and tools to provide effective financial decision support to key stakeholders.
- Provide objective financial advice and opinions that positively impact business decisions.
- Develop the forward estimates and annual budgets based on inputs from the business.
- Promote good financial disciplines and risk management processes to ensure good local cost control and cost management behaviour in the business.
About the ideal candidate:
- Highly developed analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively to problem solve issues or improve business processes.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills including an ability to manage multiple workloads and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically including providing expert advice to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring advice is aligned to business goals and objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain collaborative internal and external relationships, anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations including through periods of change.
- Ability to research, interpret and apply legislation and policies, including maintaining up to date knowledge of financial legislation and procedures.
- Public Sector experience is highly desirable.
- SAP experience preferred.
