Consultants on our Global Forensic and Litigation Services team will conduct and prepare a wide range of forensic financial analyses. A Forensic Accountant has a unique job which will require strong analytical, creative, investigative, research, communication, and organisational skills, as well as familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures. Forensic Accountants will maintain excellent client relationships by delivering high quality customer service and competently completing client engagements.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete most tasks with some supervision
  • Conduct and perform forensic financial analyses, build models, maintain documents, assist in report writing, and perform quality control procedures on schedules and reports
  • Discuss and outline problems/ issues with a manager or Partner and then act on the preferred advice
  • Carry out the quantification of claims on behalf of Insurers, Loss Adjusters, Lawyers and others
  • Analyze data and financial / non-financial information and apply a forensic approach to the work
  • Prepare clear, concise reports which can be understood by non-accountants
  • Be flexible and responsive to client needs, being available for meetings at times and places stipulated by the client. This can involve working long days and tight deadlines
  • Develop and maintain excellent client relationships
  • Team player who works well with juniors, peers, seniors, and all the other team members
  • Participate in Firm business development efforts, including the development of presentations and proposals
  • Represents Firm at business and community functions in order to maintain current, acquire new and expand existing client relationships

Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required. Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of public accounting, forensic accounting, or related experience in addition to your degree is required
  • Working towards the completion of a CPA preferred
  • An interest in forensic accountancy and proven team-working, communication and analytical skills are all essential.
  • Individuals in this position must have demonstrated computer skills and experience with accounting software is required particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Must be willing to work nontraditional business hours to meet client demands if required
  • Language skills would be beneficial, not required


Remuneration:

Attractive annual remuneration offered for this position, dependent on skills and experience.

Annual remuneration for position $58,000 to $89,000 depending on skills and experience.

Superannuation is paid in addition, at the rate gazette by the Australian government.
