Michael Page Finance is proud to be partnering with a leading not-for-profit organisation for the recruitment of an Accountant on a full-time or part-time permanent basis.

Description

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

* Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations

* Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

* Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned

* Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed

* Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports

* Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings

* Assist with other accounting projects

* Preparation of monthly general ledger journals and reconciliations

* Maintenance of the fixed asset and lease registers

* Preparation of BAS, Payroll Tax and work cover returns

* Assisting in the preparation of reconciliations and returns

* Any further duties that are required

Profile

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in accounting principles and able to work comfortably with numbers and attention to detail, have a strong connection to community and the ability to thrive within a team environment.
