What we offer...

We understand how important life is outside of work so, as well as competitive salary and 33 days annual leave, we are totally committed to flexible working. We’ll support you, wherever possible, so that you don’t miss out on what truly matters to you.

If you do ever need a little bit of extra help we have a great employee assistance programme, financial well-being support and access to loads of great discounts with leading high street names.

Our range of network groups are also there to support you to truly be yourself at work and play a key role in helping shape our future.

If you are a member of a professional body we’ll pay for your membership and once you get your top of the range digital kit you’ll be good to go in one of our great offices.

A bit about the role...

Working in a team with Fiona Seccombe, our Head of Financial Due Diligence, the Financial Analysis & Credit Risk Manager will play a critical role in performing and reviewing risk-based financial due diligence and credit risk assessments on Homes England’s partners including SME’s, Plc’s, LLP’s, Local Authorities and Registered Providers within the housebuilding and construction sectors.

You will be a qualified accountant or qualified banker with experience of credit risk assessment and/or financial analysis within an accountancy/lending institution.  You will be required to undertake detailed financial analysis to support the management and mitigation of credit risk in line with risk appetite.  This includes the calculation and in-depth analysis of complex financial and project specific information to provide a professional opinion on the creditworthiness of our partners.  You will be joining our small but highly skilled and professional team who are committed to making positive change in how risk is managed at Homes England.

Fiona is dedicated to delivering a first-class customer service which supports the management of the financial risks that Homes England are, or may soon be exposed to.

Fiona believes in working in a flexible way to foster good decision making and problem solving within their team.

This is a rare chance to shape the future risk management of a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose. Working with key stakeholders and a professional, diverse team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective risk reporting of financial standing, the financial risks involved in a transaction and how these may be treated.

A bit about you…

Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.

You'll be comfortable supporting Homes England management with complex financial issues, aiming to give a sound professional opinion on the financial standing of a diverse range of partners. You will be proficient in influencing decision makers on the financial standing of potential Homes England partners and effectively communicating (both written and verbal) key risks, issues and recommendations to support decision making.

Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn’t always easy. You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a Risk team. You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.

As an experienced finance professional you’ll understand how to manage colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.

Who are we?

We are the Government’s national housing agency. Our role is to accelerate the pace of house-building across the country, particularly in areas where there are the most serious affordability issues – meaning people are struggling to find homes.

We have the appetite, influence, expertise and resources to drive positive market change and meet the Government’s ambition to deliver 300,000 new homes a year. We are using our land, influence, funds and knowledge to increase the pace, scale and quality of new homes accelerating delivery in areas of greatest demand and helping create great places to live. Within the next few years, we will have invested over £27 billion across our programmes. To deliver against these aims we’re building a different kind of public service - join us to help make this happen.

We would encourage all applicants to apply as soon as possible as we may close vacancies early should we receive a high number of applications. We also encourage you to apply using the full application option as opposed to quick apply, this is especially important if you would like to indicate to us that you would like to be considered under the disability confident scheme.

Homes England are a geographically diverse community. We are all working from home at the moment and so our new colleagues can be based almost anywhere providing that their commute to their relevant base office is reasonable when we come back together. Colleague well-being is our top priority.
