The HR & Payroll Associate will ensure both technical and commercial service quality across its portfolio of clients, working in a growing team of professionals, reporting directly to HR & Payroll Supervisor.

You will be able to see how payroll in different industries works A-Z, and will be supported for growth by more senior members of the team and the TMF Business Academy curriculum in a motivating work environment with lots of flexibility, freedom, and personal responsibility, flat hierarchies with direct contact to management and international exchange.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure regular payroll and social reporting on client files of intermediate complexity level
  • Enter variable pay items
  • Integrate variable pay elements (due diligence, anomalies processing)
  • Monitor the payroll project according to the procedures defined by the supervisor
  • Processing of a new employee: establishment of the DUE, affiliation with social organizations, creation of the employee record in Cegid
  • Process the departure of an employee: fill in the employee’s file, calculate the STC in simple cases (CDD, resignation) and complex cases (dismissal, breaks), drawing up the work certificate, received from STC, Pôle Emploi certificate
  • When payroll has been validated by the supervisor, call for funds establishment, under control and supervisor review
  • Establish common Urssaf social statements, pension fund, provident, mutual, and occupational medicine, to be supervised by the supervisor
  • Establish pay certificates for sickness, maternity, AT within the legal time limits
  • Reply to all emails and mail received during the reception day. In case of difficulty (lack of time, lack of knowledge), coordinate with the supervisor so that the client has an answer during the day
  • Set up the letters sending the information as well as the post-pay statements
  • Process specific and more complex contracts from a work program (CTS, specific situations, etc.)
  • Prepare year-end returns and taxes
  • Perform all recurring and unusual work on a file, including the configuration of files under SILAE, setting up new clients (memberships to the caisses), compliance with the collective agreement, and updating as labour law evolves
  • Supervision of the more junior employees: act as a point of reference and expertise

About you

  • Good knowledge of French payroll
  • Reporting, invoicing to customer: rigor and accuracy in filling timesheets, systematically escalate all billable work internally
  • Analytical, critical: alert when a pay stub is not in compliance with the law
  • Proactive, responsive and customer service
  • Ability to work independently and organize own workload
  • Excellent oral and written French and English skills
  • Team-spirit: adherence to supervisor’s work instructions, full transparency to supervisor
  • Internal professionalism: know how to report to the supervisor without delay any new or technical or relational difficulties on a file
  • Sense of responsibility: ensure traceability of internal work through a rigorous filing and organization of emails and other documents
  • Organizational skills: know how to manage and structure information flows arriving by mail and telephone
  • Self-monitoring of payroll, payroll and year-end reporting using tools and procedures put in place by supervisor
  • 1-2 years at least experience of French payroll activities
