Our client contract contract mobilised in early July 2018 and with complex stakeholder landscape and processes still to be implemented, we require a confident communicator who is comfortable with change to join our team.

As our Contract Finance Manager, you will report into the Head of External Clients providing commercial support, financial control and governance to our contract with the client.

Client Details

A global business with a large modern offices in the Chertsey area. Free parking provided and very easy access via public transport.

This is a hybrid role (2-3 days per week in the office, 2-3 days per week working from home).


The Commercial Finance Manager - HYBRID role involves:

  • Providing commercial finance support to the Account Management, Operations, Procurement and Business Transformation teams.
  • Build strong relationships with client stakeholders
  • Control the monthly management accounting processes, including necessary accruals and prepayments
  • Completion and ongoing revision of Finance Standard Operating Procedures
  • Work with Account Management/Strategic Sourcing team to define annual Target Costs and Target Savings by Service Period. Manage a Top Down Bottom Up budgets process for the contract.
  • Manage and report monthly Actual Costs against Target Costs, meeting client format requirement and deadlines. Present these findings back to Internal stakeholders in form of Monthly Business reviews.
  • Keep detailed records of Actual Costs to facilitate Open Book processes including client auditing.
  • Manage and report monthly on Intangible Cost Process
  • Manage and report monthly Actual Saving against Target Savings, meeting client format requirement and deadlines
  • Calculation of monthly gainshare and KPI tracking, including fixed and conditional KPI's agreed with the client.
  • Invoicing client for cost and gainshare payments
  • Continual liaison with client Savings Team to provide information on savings that allow for client validation. Full analysis of the validated savings provided and presented back to the Supply Chain team.
  • Continuous review of processes and procedures to improve the productivity and effectiveness
  • Active member of the internal Supply Chain Leadership Team.
  • Project Manager of several strategic pillars and ensuring continuous progress of these pillars.
  • Any Adhoc requests from the client and being a Finance lead from Supply Chain.
  • Manager of 3x Finance Assistants.


The ideal candidate for the Commercial Finance Manager - HYBRID role will;

  • be part qualified / finalist level CIMA/ACCA/ACA, or Qualified by experience
  • will ideally be on short or no notice, but willing to wait for the right candidate on notice.
  • will come from a Management Accounting / Commercial Accounting / Finance Analyst / Finance Business Partner type background.
  • will have strong stakeholder experience (business partnering with non-finance heads)
  • must have managed / supervised staff previously
  • will live locally enough to commute to the Chertsey office 2-3 times per week on average.

Job Offer

The Commercial Finance Manager - HYBRID role offers a base salary of £45-55,000 + 15% bonus, and benefits (including study support, 25 days holiday, home working).
