Our role
We are looking to recruit a Purchase Ledger Assistant to support the Finance Director and Finance Manager in managing, processing, and troubleshooting accounts, payments and transactions.
You’ll be working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and friendly team. With practical training and guidance, you’ll be empowered to perform your role.
This role is part-time working 25 hours a week.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Processing supplier invoices through an online invoice management system and setting up payments to suppliers and other parties.
- Carrying out activities to support the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Carrying out and recording fortnightly purchase invoice and staff expense payment runs
- Responding to queries from clients, suppliers and colleagues
In addition you will be required to support with the following:
- Recording and allocating incoming receipts from clients
- Arranging sales invoices, credit notes and credit refunds
- Supporting the Credit Controller in producing debtor statements
- Reconciling bank accounts

What we are looking for…
We’re looking for a self motivated, hardworking, personable individual with excellent communication skills with the following skills and experience:
- AAT qualification or part qualified (or equivalent)
- Good IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of data privacy and requirements
- Great accuracy and attention to detail
