Description
- Month end close - Complete the month end close process including accruals, prepayments, capex etc,
- Management Accounts - Prepare and present the monthly P&Ls and working with the commercial finance team provide insightful commentary on variances to forecast, risks and opportunities
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations - Own and manage general ledger reconciliations including but not limited to the trading channels operation. Reconciling and understanding the numbers behind the results and resolving reconciling items on a monthly basis. Highlight any risks or opportunities as they arise.
- Budgets and Forecasts - Working with the commercial finance team on the budget and forecast process
- Relationships and business partnering - Build excellent relationships with the wider finance team and business including store and regional managers to ensure that they understand their P&L, forecasts, risks and opportunities and provide support and information required to make effective decisions
- Audit - Support the Finance Manager in management of the external audit through the preparation of audit schedules, explanations, reconciliations
- Improvements - Continuously look for process improvements, presenting ideas to make the management accounting function more efficient
- Any other duties and projects as required by the Company
Profile
- Qualified CIMA or ACCA
- Previous experience in a management accounting role
- Inquisitive mind and a proactive attitude to problem solving
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Pride in your attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- IT literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages
Job Offer
Salary of £50,000 - £55,000 plus benefits
