An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Data Architecture, Solution and Design team as a Data Analyst. The role is both a business-facing and technical team engaging resource, aiming to deliver the key and critical data elements.
This will include the identification, definition, description, and specification of this data, to create connections throughout the systems and data landscape to capture the system data flows within Santander.

Liaising with the business and CDO to drive meaningful measurements of data, accurate reflection of lineage, compliant data fora and correct metadata
Supporting the processes for the collection, integration, analysis, distribution, quality control and governance of enterprise metadata
Supporting adoption of best-in-class metadata practices within the bank's strategic metadata solution.
Supporting the design and implementation of metadata solutions to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort, especially for regulatory concepts such as BCBS 239
Supporting the Metadata manager in the data requirement analysis and as well as solution testing before delivered to users
Supporting the creation and maintenance of data flow and technical metadata
What you'll bring.
Data analysis experience on data management related project
Understanding of Data Management principles (Data Governance, Metadata Management, Data Quality, Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, MDM etc.)
It would also be nice for you to have.
Excellent communication skills, in particular the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior leaders.
Experience of Data Management tools, e.g. Informatica, Collibra or Equivalent
Strong Understanding of Metadata (Business, Technical and Operational) and ability to create complex documentation and business descriptions
A sound understanding of the foundational data management capabilities with a strong understanding of complex data lineage in databases, schemas, tables, columns.
What else you need to know.
We will be conducting all interviews via telephone or video-conference where possible.
This role is currently home based but will develop into a hybrid working role with an expectation to travel periodically into the Milton Keynes when permitted.
This is a permanent position.
