Reporting to the General Manager - Engineering Safety & Compliance, the Compliance and Assurance Surveyor - Engineering will take responsibility for performing independent compliance based oversight activities in support of our Part 145, CAMO and 147 approvals.

What will you do in the role?

Our Compliance and Assurance Surveyor - Engineering will ensure that the Jet2.com Compliance & Assurance system remains compliant with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) requirements building strong relationships with our internal stakeholders. You will also:
  • Carry out audits
  • Inspections and reviews of aircraft and Airworthiness and Maintenance processes
  • Maintenance error investigations.
  • Produce and issue reports to stakeholder with effective recommendations
  • Author departmental procedures, compliance notices and compliance deficiency reports
  • Promote continuous improvement through compliance monitoring and assurance of all Continuing Airworthiness and Maintenance work.
  • Provide a central point of contact for Jet2.com Engineering teams on compliance and safety enquiries.
  • Maintenance of UKCAA approved manuals (MOE, CAME and MTOE) and associated procedures
  • Regular travel to other Jet2.com bases and suppliers in and outside the UK.

What are the key skills / experience you'll already have?

OurCompliance and Assurance Surveyor - Engineeringwill have at least 5 years' experience in Continuing Airworthiness or Aviation Maintenance withstrong analysis, problem solving and communication skills. You will also:
  • Hold a Part 66 B1, B2 or C licence with type rating or relevant engineering degree, with a background in aviation compliance work
  • A good understanding of Continuing Airworthiness Regulations and Safety Management Systems.
  • Have the ability to work methodically to tight timescales, whilst working in a co-operative and flexible manner
  • Maintain strong working relationships across all business levels.
  • A valid driving licence and passport
