Job Summary

This is a global role supporting the Global Treasury Manager (GTM) . This key role supports:
1) the timely collection, consolidation and analysis of financial data,
2) the maintenance of centralised treasury information,
3) the delivery of a first-class treasury function and services to its stakeholders and the business as a whole.

This shall be achieved through building and maintaining relationships with site and business line finance teams, together with divisional finance, global functions and Melrose Group as necessary and through the operation of efficient manual and electronic data gathering and consolidation.

Job Responsibilities

Cash Reporting and forecasting
• Assist the GTM in the tracking and analysis of transactions denominated in foreign currency across multiple jurisdictions.
• Collect, analyse and report on group cash positions.

Supplier Finance and Factoring
• Assist GTM in the collection, analysis and forecasting of data relating to the utilisation of group supply chain financing, factoring and reverse factoring facilities.

Foreign Exchange Exposure Hedging
• Assist GTM in the collection and consolidation of foreign exposure data, commentary, analysis and forecasts
• Foreign exchange confirmation matching and distribution

Treasury Management System
• Support the central finance team with the settlement of intercompany transactions through the TMS.
• Assist the GTM in the development of regular and ad-hoc reporting of cash, inter-company loans and current account balances, open foreign exchange trades, bonds and guarantees.

Electronic Banking Platforms
• Assist the GTM in the coordination of administrative activities and processes relating to the management of the various electronic banking platforms used by the Aerospace division.

Insurance
• Assist with the collation and validation of insurance renewal data from sites, as part of the annual insurance renewal exercise.
• Maintain the UK Motor insurance database information, including dealing with requests for changes from sites
• Co-ordinate the insurance valuation surveys at sites

Other responsibilities
• Lead the collection of site, business line and HQ Finance leadership review and certification of bank account data, bank account signatories and electronic banking approvers
• Assist the GTM in the resolution of banking transaction related queries and requests including liaison with the customer service teams of divisional relationship banks.
• Adhoc projects to support GTM and VP Finance Governance

Job Qualifications

Formal Qualifications
Essential:
• Business Degree

Desirable
• Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT) qualification (or international equivalent)

Specific Functional Capabilities, Knowledge and Skills Required
Essential:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience

• Financial and technical expertise
• IT literate (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of payment processes

Desirable:
• Understanding of foreign exchange concepts
• Experience of using a Treasury Management System (TMS)
• Experience of working in a large multi national (and multi currency) organisation
• Understanding of basic concepts of insurance

Language Skills
Fluent English
