We are looking for someone who has started, or is planning to start, an accounting qualification and has an interest in working as part of a high-performance finance team.
Initially, the purpose of the role is to own a key quarter-end reporting role encompassing accounts payable/receivable and associated treasury tasks, as well as quarter-end reporting items. Full training and ongoing support is here to help you achieve your best and to contribute to the success of the team.
As you progress through towards qualification, and gain experience, the intention is to broaden this exposure into a more direct financial accounting direction, working on quarterly reporting to the management team, and to international stakeholders as well as Financial Statements production and reporting to the regulator, APRA.

Responsibilities
Accounts payable/receivable
- Looking after payments to suppliers, including staff reimbursements.
- Vendor system maintenance (Peoplesoft)
- Working well with internal staff/management and external suppliers to resolve any queries
- Preparation and processing of bank transfers and payments
- Corporate credit card expense and accounts management
- Maintenance of internal controls surrounding payments and receipts
- Cashflow forecasting and liquidity management
Other
- Preparation and posting of quarter end general journals
- Help with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
- Maintain efficient processes and work papers
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in accounting, or similar
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A high level of attention to detail and good problem-solving ability
- Continuous improvement mentality
