This is a key role within the financial function, responsible for supporting the financial planning and management reporting processes, providing insights and advice that maximise the organisations financial performance, giving you an opportunity to see the impacts of your work in real time.

The role:
  • Review and challenge of appropriateness of project and cost base forecasts provided by programmes within Line(s) of Business, prior to submission to Central Finance Team. Attend month end reporting meetings to support Finance Manager in explaining movements to Head of Finance.
  • Developing relationships and working closely with Finance Managers and Accounting Managers to gain understand of business, projects and strategy.
  • Preparation of output packs including variance analysis and commentary files for month end and budgets. Responding to queries from Central Finance team.
  • Assist Reporting and Planning Finance Managers with budget and other financial presentations as required.
  • Preparation of monthly Business Unit Review financials pack for Line(s) of Business
  • Management of all reporting deadlines within Lines of Business, ensuring that Line of Business finance teams are kept informed of reporting requirements, with a view to quality and on time submissions.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in ensuring compliance with Accounting standards and internal financial policies manual. This will involve investigating the implications and providing advice on how the business should account for items
  • Provision of and co-ordinating audit data for Half Year and Full Year external audit requirements for relevant Lines of Business
  • Completion of ad-hoc decision support requirements

Your Profile
  • CA or CPA qualified with experience in a commercial environment
  • Competent in delivering management reporting and providing advice to stakeholders that impact financial performance
  • Excellent stakeholder communications skills with the ability to build active and effective partnerships
  • Hold full, unrestricted working rights for Australia
