An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Finance Delivery Unit. The Finance Delivery Unit ("the Unit") was established in 2018 to provide support to Welsh Government to respond and deliver on the financial challenges facing NHS Wales.
The profile and remit of the Unit has expanded since this time and there is a strong focus on the provision of high quality information and analytics to support NHS Wales in monitoring and managing financial risk, identifying improvement opportunities, and developing products to support service improvements. The improvement opportunities span financial and non-financial aspects of service delivery.
You'll join an innovative and award winning team that is passionate about delivering value within the NHS, offering insights to the wider system by triangulating patient outcomes, finances and activity. Our Public Finance award recognised our strong learning and development culture, and our collaboration across professions. As the profile and reputation of the Finance Delivery Unit has grown, so has the demand for our expertise and insight. We are growing the team in a number of key areas, including analytics, informatics, data science and financial management and strategy.
You will be a qualified accountant looking to gain further experience within financial analytics and enthusiastic about making a difference through better use of data. You will work within the Analytics Centre of Excellence, contributing to a wide variety of financial and analytical projects. If you're a highly motivated individual and keen to gain insight into the NHS at a national level, we'd like to hear from you.
