This role is to perform the duties of an Accounts Assistant role within the Financial Accounting process for UK & International Finance with a specific focus to support and provide cover for tasks undertaken by the Accounting Managers and Accountant.

Position Summary
This role is to perform the duties of an Accounts Assistant role within the Financial Accounting process for UK & International Finance with a specific focus to support and provide cover for tasks undertaken by the Accounting Managers and Accountant.
Duties
- Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations. Ensure supporting documentation fulfils audit scrutiny and SOX, accounting standards. Follow up and take corrective action on 'unidentified', 'timing' or 'requires adjusting' differences within Policy guidelines.
- Assists with deferred revenue accounting
- Respond to GL account queries from Business Analysts.
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Assist with preparation of PSA
- Assist with Intercompany recharges
- Assist with VAT returns
- Work effectively with Teams within the Financial Accounting Function based in Leicester and Derby including General Ledger Finance Team, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Involvement with ad-hoc projects working with Accounting Managers and Accountant where required.
- Ensure that you have a full understanding of each area within your remit.
- Highlight to your manager where you have any training needs.
Required Experience
- Part qualified AAT.
- Previous experience in a similar role and corporate environment.
- Ability to escalate issues.
