This well established and thriving North Sydney firm is seeking an ambitious Senior Manager to join the team. They have 5 Partners and around 30 staff that service a growing client base of private family groups and active business clients. With a proud history and passionate leadership team, they invest in training, technology, and career development to ensure they are at the forefront of their industry.

The Opportunity

You will have responsibility for a portfolio of clients and team of experienced Accountants to ensure that the reliable production of financial, tax and advisory services are delivered on time. You will manage workflow and build your team to support the Director in developing and strengthening client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Delegate the preparation of financial statements including monthly, quarterly and annual BAS's and income tax returns
• Coach staff working on projects to ensure they are learning on the job
• Agree all workflow deadlines are agreed and met
• Ensure workflow management achieves ATO lodgement program
• Ensure all workpaper files are complete before Director review
• Research taxation matters
• Mentor Seniors / Intermediates providing regular feed back
• Deliver advisory based services to clients
• Prepare fee agreements for projects
• Manage WIP, including invoicing
• Assist with completion of more complex projects

Candidate Requirements

You will have a minimum of 8 years experience in public practice and be CA / CPA qualified. Experience managing and developing a client portfolio, understanding their needs and investment goals will be highly regarded. You will have thorough knowledge of applicable business and tax laws, codes and regulations. Sound judgement, problem-solving and analytical skills are required. Above all, strong communication and leadership skills, and the drive to be successful in your role are essential.
