Senior Management Accountant

This is a Senior Management Accountant role quickly developing into a Business Partner, that will allow the successful incumbent to make real organisational change and constantly looking at ways to drive the business forward.

My client is a highly regarded market leading start-up organisation based in the heart of Cardiff.

Description

• Construct detailed financial models from start to finish to evaluate investment opportunities and provide balanced recommendations
• Formulate and evaluate strategic plans, budgets and forecasts for the entire business within set time lines
• Prepare periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
• Own revenue recognition policies, challenging the business on Sales submissions and alignment to correct policy and dates.
• Liaise with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context
• Continually adapt and improve management reporting and KPIs to meet the needs of the business and management team
• Form strong relationships with the Executive team and Board members along with product, services and sales & marketing divisions to provide reliable, stable revenue and cost forecasts from planning and pipeline data
• Working closely with the CEO and Directors when building budgets and forecasts to ensure accuracy of data and operational information

Profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
• Proven track record within the IT or services sector, you will have previous experience of working in a hands-on role within an SME, and will be comfortable operating at a Board level, influencing senior stakeholders, and identifying and presenting the business case for commercial opportunities
• Finance SAAS experience (Desirable)
• Skilled at sourcing, merging and manipulating large volumes of data (from multiple systems) to meet specific business needs
• Have knowledge of unit economics and KPIs associated with reporting financial and business performance in a recruitment sales environment
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Job Offer

• Competitive salary £45,000 - £55,000
