Your role: We have a fantastic opportunity for a Corporate Reporting Accountant to join our Finance team at News UK Peterborough. Acting as a support function to the Tech team you will be a key contact for our auditors and News Corp throughout the process, also supporting more junior members of the team through training and mentoring. Some responsibilities will include:
- Completion and ownership of a number complex reconciliations
- Review of reconciliations prepared by analysts within the team
- Specifically this will involve loading reporting packs for submission to US Corporate for News UK and its Subsidiaries as well as assisting analytical review.
- Completion of additional tasks related to the quarterly reporting process including submission of analytics to News Corp
- You will assist in the preparation of key Financial Statements for News UK and its Subsidiaries to agreed timetables and the reconciliation process to management reporting
- You will be a key contact in the management of the audit processes across the group supporting the finance managers to deliver requests timely
- You will be expected to be develop key relationships across Finance to ensure deadlines are met
- Assume responsibility for the US Tax compliance reporting (with support from the Tax and wider corporate reporting team).
More about the role
You will support the Finance Manager to deliver the annual SOX process for News UK ensuring stakeholders are supported and kept up to date and will complete testing of key SOX processes within Finance, and take a lead on new requirements to test automated controls.
The Team
This will sit within the Corporate Reporting Team who report financial submissions for News UK and its subsidiaries using Onestream (training will be provided).
