We are seeking to appoint a Business Controller on a permanent basis who will be part of our Finance Team based in Dublin.
Our key business objective is to continue to grow our business through our vendor and dealer channels and also build a strong relationship with our customer base.
DLL supports a hybrid working policy and therefore it is expected that this role will be performed with a mix of home-office working and Dublin office presence. DLL’s understanding is that the Dublin office is our collaborative hub and therefore the candidate must be available to be present in Dublin as required to be fully effective in the role.

Your function
Candidate Profile
- Part qualified / newly qualified Accountant with relevant professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ACA).
- Self- starter with strong accounting discipline and control focus
- Proactive and eager with strong customer delivery focus and attitude
Accountabilities will include:
- Contribute to the development of the business strategy and/or planning at country level from a finance perspective.
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and execute the financial planning and control cycle at country level and advise management on forecasting, budgeting and strategy execution. Monitor financial results and follow up on inadequacies.
- Advise business leaders and functional disciplines on the improvement of commercial and operational results. Advises on financial risk management, pricing models, return of investment, vendor agreements, complex deal structuring, sales effectiveness and cost efficiency. Responsible for the financial aspects of business cases and projects.
- Reports financial results to internal (e.g. Corporate, DMBI, Management) and external stakeholders (Central Banks) and explains trends and changes. Ensures alignment and consistency of country reports within DLL. Results are measured at country, GBU, program/vendor and deal level.
- Defines and improves local financial processes and manages financial processes at country level.
Your profile
To successfully respond to the challenges of the role, the ideal candidate should exhibit or possess the following characteristics and experience:
- Strong Excel skills
- Takes ownership of their tasks
- Detail orientated, with ‘right first time’ attitude
- Excellent organising skills with ability to work to tight deadlines
- An ability to work as part of a team and to deal communicate with other departments in a friendly and professional manner
- Newly qualified Accountant with relevant professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ACA).
- Practical knowledge of IFRS and FRS102.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements for companies in Ireland (Statutory deadlines, filing requirements etc.)
- Working closely with other departments to identify opportunities to assist existing clients
