An exciting opportunity has opened for a Financial Planning & Analyst (FP&A) Senior Associate at Davy.
Reporting to the Associate Director, the FP&A senior associate will be a strategic finance partner delivering exceptional service to our core business units. This role will entail working with executive management and business unit managers to provide value-added decision support.
The FP&A Senior Associate is also responsible for supporting the budgeting and forecasting process and leading the review of key business metrics and drivers. This will involve collaborating across the Finance team and modelling business scenarios to support project business cases and project initiatives.
We are seeking a strong communicator, with analytical skills, and previous exposure to enhancing business growth and scale. Key success factors in this role include: strong business acumen, ability to influence, make sound recommendations as well as build and maintain solid relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the business units and support functions to define the financial landscape and build budgets and forecasts based on key drivers of performance.
- Support the CFO and Executive Management through the preparation of detailed analysis and financial models to support decision making and business cases to determine capital allocation and investment decisions.
- Work closely with Financial Reporting colleagues to review and interpret monthly management accounts to ensure clear, concise commentary on performance is provided to the business.
- Develop a deep knowledge of the cost base of the Groups business units and provide a comprehensive overview of the key drivers each month.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes while maintaining effective control frameworks.
- Comply with the Risk and Compliance frameworks, policies and procedures associated with the role
Requirements
- Successful candidate will be degree educated with a strong academic track record.
- Past experience in an FP&A role an advantage, but not essential
- Pro-active self-starter who is organised, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent data skills and advanced Excel, Word & PowerPoint capability.
- Exceptional written and spoken communication skills - ability to interface with all levels of the organisation including the ability to simplify difficult technical concepts.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering against tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of making sound business recommendations.
- Exposure to new system implementation and project management is desirable.
