We are looking for a Temporary Finance Manager to join our growing finance team for a 12 month Maternity Cover.

It is essential that you have previous demonstrable experience working on the creation and production of management information including senior level / Board reporting.

The role is wide and varied so a broad range of banking skills are desired. This will include strong technical accounting skills, knowledge of key cost and revenue drivers, financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting and the ability to interrogate large

volumes of data to provide key messages. An understanding of Capital and Regulatory requirements would be advantageous.

Responsibilities:
  • Working on the production of monthly management accounts, including the preparation of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and commentary to be presented to the Board.
  • Calculation and reconciliation of the Bank's revenue streams ensuring correct entry into the General Ledger and appropriate reporting.
  • Assisting in the review and implementation of new budgets and forecasts into monthly reporting.
  • Implementing strong controls and processes, including the review and sign-off of process documentation.
  • Assistance with statutory audits for the Group including the International Subsidiary.
  • Developing close working relationships across Finance, Treasury, and the wider Bank.
  • Assisting with Accounts Payable.
  • Managing and developing junior team members.


Requirements

  • You have experience working in either Audit Practice, Banking or Relevant Financial Services.
  • You can work in an environment with a high level of ambiguity.
  • You have very strong analytical, numerical and excel skills.
  • A qualified accountant (preferably ACCA or ACA) with a strong academic background.
  • Ability to understand a trial balance and build reporting from underlying data.
  • A self-starter and independent worker with strong interpersonal skills.
  • You are well organised with the ability to plan and deliver on tight deadlines with attention to detail.
