What the role will involve
If you were to join our team of dedicated experts, the responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly Management accounts in SAP, to include the preparation of accruals, provisions, prepayments, inter-company reconciliations etc.
- Submit monthly actual results and supplemental data using HFM, complying with all reporting deadlines within L3Harris.
- Take responsibility for various financial transactions posted into SAP including sales invoices and financial journals.
- Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled and reviewed on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and submit statutory monthly and quarterly HMRC reports.
- Assist Financial Controller where necessary to support statutory accounts preparation and corporation tax compliance.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset data in SAP including all related reporting.
- Work with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with GST/ITR requirements in Australia.
- Take responsibility for credit control and related reporting on debtor position and aging.
- Maintain cash flow forecast and ensure that this is reconciled to SAP.
- Ensure that supplier details are kept up to date within the accounts system.
- To assist with other areas of finance as required.
The role of Assistant Financial Accountant requires the following experience and skills:
- QBE or part-qualified accountant working towards a recognised accountancy qualification.
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Good time management skills to manage multiple activities and achieve tight deadlines.
- Prior experience of integrated ERP systems and handling transactions
- Experience of control account reconciliations.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience of SAP desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to achieve effective partnerships and relationships in a multi-discipline environment and the ability to show respect, diplomacy and tact when dealing with stakeholders.
- A self-starter committed to delivery of team and business objectives.
